I planned on just calling in surreptitiously to photograph with stealth and from a distance. I wanted to catch a shot of Vel mid maths class to add it to the portfolio I was compiling on him. It was just going to take five minutes.
I carefully peered around the classroom door…….. to discover no teacher present and then the whole class spotted me - busted!
Suddenly I was confronted with the need to entertain nearly fifty, nine-year-olds for the next thirty minutes. Unable to disappoint, i could not just leave, my showing up is like a visit from the Queen of England.
So armed with only my camera, I quickly scanned the classroom; chalk, blackboard and a lot of easily excitable kids.
